Films on Demand, the provider of the UML Library’s largest database collection of streaming videos, now provides new interactive transcripts for thousands of their videos.
Interactive transcripts provide:
- live video/transcript syncing: read the full text of the video and follow along as the video plays
- printing: print the full transcript option
- click-to-seek navigation: click on any word in the transcript to jump to that exact point in the video and begin playing the selection
- key-word searching: search each transcript to locate every instance of a specific term in a video.
Interactive transcripts are easy to access. If a title has a transcript available, a “Transcript” tab will display on the View Video page. From this tab, users can search, print, or disable the autoscrolling feature.
Tip! – The Interactive Transcript feature can be turned on/off by visiting My User Preferences for user accounts.
